Disclaimer: I’m not a big buffalo chicken wings fan, or that sort of flavor. But I thought I’d give it a whirl.
This recipe smelled really yummy when we came in the door this afternoon. I wasn’t really sure how I wanted to serve it up at first. I decided on a salad:
It looks pretty, smells good. But I’ll be honest, I didn’t love this one. Even though I used fresh veggies, buy the time this was ready those veggies had that canned taste. Now: I did use canned jalapenos instead of fresh. That is a confidence issue, I just don’t know about hot peppers, how to buy them or chop them, etc. That could’ve been the problem.
That being said, I did REALLY enjoy the chicken! Yes, even though I’m not a big buffalo chicken fan I did like the chicken itself. I would recommend serving this up maybe more like a taco with cheese or as a sandwich. Maybe something like a pulled pork sandwich with some cheese or a blue cheese sauce.
So this one wasn’t as great but I think it was due to the chef on duty (aka – me). And I’d give it another go and try the fresh jalapeno pepper.
